Concepts

There's a few commonly used terms that are good to understand before you get started.

Structure

  1. Organizations: Organizations are billing and collaboration entities. You invite users to organizations and grant them access to resources within the organization. You create and be a part of multiple organisations, but each organization is completely isolated from the others.
  1. Projects: Everything in Golain lives within a project. It is the top level container of your configurations, data, and users. You can have multiple projects, but each project is completely isolated from the others. Projects are created within an organization.

  2. Fleets: A fleet is a logical grouping of hardware devices. Devices within a fleet share the same Shadow and Authentication configuration. You can have multiple fleets within a project.

  3. Devices: A device is a physical piece of hardware that is connected to Golain. Devices are created within a fleet. Devices are the lowest level of the hierarchy, and are the ones that actually connect to Golain.

That's all the basics! Let's look at some more concepts.
